List of Betty's Breakdowns & Issues
- 14/4/13 8:30 - Accelerator Cable. Cable came out of crimped end - RAC came out and fitted new cable end linkage.
- 29/5/13 5:15 - Flat Battery - Doh! Left the side lights on. The dash lights are so dim I did not notice I left the lights on. Battery Flat - Got jump battery pack from work and jumped started. Battery still little too flat next day. Drove long way to work and hopefully charged. Might try jump start from leisure battery sometime.
- 23/8/13 - Valve issue on cylinder 3 - Not a breakdown but noisy tappets and valve noise from cylinder 3. Readjusted tappets and found yet again exhaust valve on 3 was tight again. Taken rocker assembly off and found the valve was approx 3mm higher than the other 3. See write up post to see the issue and solution.
- 4/3/14 Clutch Cable - No clutch and pedal travel was very soft! Managed to pull up and get reverse but could not get any other gear! Managed to start while in 1st gear and creep back home.
